Most of us went in to Petra on our first day off this season. Here's a picture - many more to follow later.
Pictures from several team members from the day off today. They show a variety of views of the wonders of Petra, including images taken from some of the very high places. Also shown are pictures of the amphitheatre, the 5th century Greek church mosaics and the Siq - the long, winding downhill route which follows a crack in the mountain to the main entrance to the city. Once there the first structure encountered is the Treasury - Al Khazneh. Some of the images taken from very high points are looking down on this from above.
This collection of pictures will increase as more of the team send me their images. If you click on one image then they are all displayed in a sequence. If anyone has questions about the pictures please make a comment and I will try to answer.
The pictures really convey the spell-binding place that is Petra from every angle and with every view. I love the views from high up looking across to Israel (?).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments Anthea. It is certainly an outstandingly beautiful, special place. And it is possible to see to Israel from some of the high places around the edge of the city.
ReplyDeleteHi nice pictures. I have also captured some memories in my handy cam when visited Petra with my family by the help of a good travel company . Petra is a place where you can fell as if you have come to a world of imagination. So it’s necessary to capture every moment.
